further treatment during its expected life span (average 4 to 5
years).
LLITNs

YorkoolTM
is a long lasting insecticial mosquito net where the
insecticide (deltamethrin 55mg a.i. /m2) is mixed in a
resin coating the netting fibers, so that the net retains efficacy
after repeated washings, up to 20 WHO standard laboratory
washes

respectively 60 minutes and 24 H after a 3 minutes exposure under
WHO cones should be maintained after 20 normalised washes at 30
degree C.
Safety
Studies
by WHOPES showed that, with frequent exposure to the concentrations
of pyrethroid, it is safe to user and the risk of toxicity of any
kind is remote.
